Pom Pom island

Pom Pom island in front of the Volunteer camp

Pom Pom island in front of the Volunteer camp. The deep blue water just off the beach is just a 25m walk.

Tropical islands don’t get much better than this.  White sand, turtles, fish and occasional sharks. Pom Pom has a lot going for it;– Crystal clear water; — Temperatures from 25-29 deg C; — NO monsoon; — within the coral triangle with more fish and coral reef life than most of the world.  Fantasic macrolife – Frogfish, Mandarin fish, ghost pipe fish plus many more.  Check out the environments we have to experience.

A camera is needed to do justice to all the different species

Marine turtles abound.  This is a major nesting site for Green turtles and they are common all the year.
