Humphead Wrasse in Sabah: regionally extinct but locally protected


The humphead wrasse Cheilinus undulatus (also called Maori or Napoleon wrasse)  is under heavy fishing pressure on a global basis and is one of the first marine animals to be  included on the
IUCN Red Data List as vulnerable to extinction.
