Pygmy sea horse (Hipocampus denise) on Pom Pom Island, Semporna Sabah.

The CBR resort & TRACC have found two species of pygmy seahorses within diving depths.  The shallow species is Hippocampus bagibanti and the deeper species is Hippocampus denise.  They are hard to spot since they are only 1cm long and are camouflaged exactly the same as the gorgonian sea fan.  They are incredibly difficult to photo but Nurul Yazid and Axel Kunze have spent a lot of time and managed to get  a series of photos.  The quality of the photos will hopefully improve over time as these two dedicated photographers and others struggle to get the perfect shot.
